The Dementia Consortium is a global initiative launched in 2014 to accelerate early stage target validation and drug discovery. By providing researchers with funding, drug discovery expertise and project management, the Consortium aims to capitalise on emerging targets in neurodegeneration. Through industrial partners, we aim to move promising targets towards the clinic and share revenues with the originating scientists, with the ultimate goal of bringing benefit to people with dementia.
In 2018, the Dementia Consortium was renewed with new members Evotec, Johnson & Johnson and Takeda joining, and up to £6 million made available for project funding over the next three years. Throughout the year, we will be travelling around the UK to give you the opportunity to come and find out how the Dementia Consortium works, and how you could benefit from its collaborative funding.
