Five years postdoc, but have worked in dementia research going on twelve years now.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself:
My favourite book at the moment is “Factfulness” by Hans Rosling [2]. Mightn’t sound fun, but a fact nonetheless. Can also recommend “Zoobiquity” by Barbara Natterson-Horowitz & Kathryn Bowers [3], “Complications” by Atul Gawande [4], and “The Yipping Tiger” by Perminder Sachdev [5].
Why did you choose to work in dementia?
Family and friends lived with dementia.
What single piece of advice would you give to an early career researcher?
Persist.
