Addressing Inequalities in Dementia and Ageing
May 19 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

This May, join a thought-provoking webinar exploring inequalities in dementia and ageing. Three NIHR / Alzheimer’s Society Dem Comm Research Fellows – Dr Megan Readman (University of Liverpool), Dr Sanda Ismail (Lancaster University), and Dr Marie Poole (Newcastle University) – will present their latest work.
Together, they will explore the impact of hearing loss and rarer dementia subtypes, highlight how individuals from minority ethnic backgrounds—particularly South Asian communities—face unique challenges, and discuss broader systemic inequalities, with a focus on how these can be addressed.
This session is open to everyone with an interest in dementia and ageing, including carers, family members, professionals, and researchers.
