From Plan to Impact
25/05/2022 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
As we rapidly approach the 2025 target date for the WHO Global action plan on dementia, we are bringing together key stakeholders from across the world to: look at progress, identify barriers, highlight paths forward and to see how the global dementia community can galvanise and accelerate towards achieving the key targets, especially around the development, deployment and monitoring of national dementia plans.
Join us for what will be a highly engaging and interactive session, with your chance to ask questions, share advice and experience, and tackle the big questions around dementia as a public health priority, particularly in the context of awareness, diagnosis, treatment, care support and research.
Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI) CEO Paola Barbarino will present headlines from our new report From Plan to Impact V and host an expert panel looking at government and dementia community progress in the key action areas of the global plan. In particular, we will review national dementia plan updates, with a chance to see and ask how your country is performing.
The global pandemic has disrupted health, care and policy responses to dementia. As the 2025 deadline for the Global action plan approaches, we want to discuss solutions and recommendations, share advice and best practice, and above all, find ways to ensure that every country and government is able to deliver against their 2017 commitment for a strategic national dementia response.
We will be hosting the event as an online Zoom session.
