24/08/2023 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

ISTAART Logo

Please join us for the initial webinar of a multi-year collaborative series called Language Diversity and Brain Health. Our first webinar title is Brain dysfunctions across the world’s languages. How broadly do languages vary across the world? Does knowledge on language (dys)functions generalize from widely studied to underrepresented languages? How do issues impact global work on brain disorders? Find answers here.

Co-hosts for this webinar are the PIA’s Bilingualism, Languages and Literacy (BLL) Special Interest Group (SIG) and Include (International Network for Cross-Linguistic Research on Brain Health).

The BLL SIG debuted in October 2020.

The Include network in an international effort to foster cross-linguistic research on brain health. With over 60 sites spanning 30 countries, it seeks to understand which speech and language markers of brain disorders are generalizable across languages and which ones are specific to certain languages or language families.

This webinar is scheduled for Thursday, August 24 from 11 am – 12 pm Eastern Time.
