LGBTQ+ STEM Day Symposium

Imperial LGBTQ+ Network

To celebrate LGBTQ+ STEM Day, the LGBTQ+ Allies Network at Imperial College London, Department of Brain Sciences has organised three exciting talks from scientists at various stages of the academic research path (PhD student, Postdoctoral Researcher, Senior Lecturer) who align with the LGBTQ+ community, to highlight their research and academic journey. The talks will be followed by a social with food and drink provided.

Speakers

Jake Symington – MD/PhD Student, Imperials College London “Arginine Deprivation as a novel immunotherapy for Glioblastoma”.

Dr Jasmine Donaldson – Postdoctoral Research Fellow, University College London “Investigating the role of DNA repair machinery in Huntington’s Disease pathogenesis using induced pluripotent stem cells models”

Dr Marc-David Ruepp – Senior Lecturer, King’s College London “From RNA processing to neurodegeneration”
