NeuroBioUK 2024 – Neuronal and glial cell biology community
September 13
NeuroBioUK is an annual one-day event for the neuronal and glial cell biology community in the UK. We want to build a platform where we get to hear about the latest work with an emphasis on early career speakers (PhD, Post-doc and Junior PIs) selected from submitted abstracts, and networking between scientists with a common interest.
The format of the meeting mirrors other successful one-day meetings, e.g. London Membrane Traffic Meeting, Bristol Actin Meeting and the Edinburgh Microtubule Meeting. Similarly, to these go-to events in the UK we would like our meeting to be 1) focussed, 2) cheap to attend and 3) take up minimal time.
The topic is any cell biological aspect of neuronal and glial function, the direction decided by the labs that participate. We aim to keep registration costs low (£30), including lunch and coffee breaks.
From the beginning we’ve built feedback into how the meeting is run so it can be something the whole community looks forward to. Please get in touch if you have any ideas for future meetings.
