SUMMARY:Policy workshop for early- and mid-career researchers
DESCRIPTION:Supporting early and mid-career researchers focused on dementia & neurodegenerative conditions to bridge the gap between policy & research.\n\n\n\nJoin us for a full day of networking\, discussion and career development focused on bridging the gap between research and policy. This collaborative event is being co-organised by three organisations that support and train early and mid-career researchers: DeNPRU-QM\, NIHR Three Schools’ Dementia Research Programme\, and I-Care DTC. \nThe day will begin with a welcome from each of the co-organisers\, followed by a panel discussion chaired by Prof Yvonne Birks (University of York) exploring how researchers can effectively engage with policymakers and tailor their work to inform policy. After a networking lunch\, early and mid-career researchers will break into groups to discuss career-stage challenges before coming together for interactive activities designed to foster collaboration and communication. \nWe will conclude with a feedback session followed by a relaxed social event\, offering plenty of opportunities to connect and exchange ideas. \nIf you have any questions about the event\, please email denpru@qmul.ac.uk. \nPlease note that the only remaining tickets are for postdoctoral researchers. \n\nRegister
