SUMMARY:Unconventional Animal Models of Alzheimer's Disease & Aging
DESCRIPTION:Join us for the Second International Conference on “Unconventional Animal Models of Alzheimer’s Disease and Aging” (UAMAA 2026)\, taking place February 9–11\, 2026 at the Sue & Bill Gross Stem Cell Research Center Auditorium\, College of Health Sciences\, University of California\, Irvine (UCI). \nThis multidisciplinary forum will bring together researchers\, scientists\, and professionals advancing the frontiers of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) research. The conference will offer a unique platform to discuss and explore unconventional mammalian and non-murine models of AD that may provide enhanced translational potential for therapeutic development. \nBuilding on the success of the inaugural conference held in 2023 in Santiago\, Chile\, this second conference aims to showcase recent breakthroughs\, foster interdisciplinary collaboration\, and encourage dynamic scientific exchange. \nThe program will feature six focused sessions: \n\nNew Models and Technologies\nGenomics Researchels\nBehavioral Science and Integrative Neuroscience\nNeural Circuit Organization and Dynamics in Aging and AD\nGeriatrics and Aging Process Research\nBiomarker and Intervention Development\n\nThe conference is co-organized by Drs. Afonso Silva\, Stacey J. Rizzo\, Patricia Cogram\, Bing Ren\, and Xiangmin Xu. \nFor additional information\, please contact the Center for Neural Circuit Mapping at UC Irvine.
