SUMMARY:ADI Open Webinar: The diagnostics revolution is now!
DESCRIPTION:Time and accuracy issues\, stigma\, and a lack of specialist capacity\, have been major barriers to diagnosis for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. In recent times we have been on the cusp of revolution in diagnostics and have been calling on health system preparedness and readiness. That diagnostics revolution\, that we envisaged and hoped for\, is happening right now! \nFollowing on from ADI’s End of Year Forecast event in December 2025\, we are now bringing together the leading lights in this rapidly emerging diagnostics space\, no longer to ask ‘are we ready’ but how are these new diagnostics being implemented\, how are clinics and health systems integrating them\, what are the barriers and solutions to their use\, what are the training gaps and who is leading and innovating in the space. \nJoin us on 26 February to hear from a leading panel of experts about how new blood tests (blood-based biomarkers) are being introduced and integrated\, advancements in CSF (cerebral spine fluid) testing\, digital biomarkers in practice and the emergence of online and at home cognitive testing. Learn more about roll out plans for these new tools\, about regulation and about reimbursement. \nUnderpinning all of this we will also hear from a person living with dementia\, who has first-hand experience of the diagnostics pathway and true insight into how these emerging new tools can improve and set a new standard for diagnosis. \nWe will also shine a light on how diagnostics are changing the face of clinical trial recruitment and we will get invaluable insight into how one research project is testing the new blood tests in practice\, tackling training alongside testing accuracy and efficacy. \nJoin this webinar and to put your question to our expert panel. \nRegister to Attend

SUMMARY:Transforming neuropsychological assessments with AI
DESCRIPTION:Neuropsychological tests are a cornerstone of the assessment of cognitive impairment in dementia and related neurodegenerative disorders\, yet their administration and scoring are often time-consuming and susceptible to subjectivity.  \n\nProf. Nicolas Langer’s research group develops AI-based solutions for the automated analysis of established neuropsychological instruments\, including the Rey–Osterrieth Complex Figure\, the Five-Point Test\, verbal fluency tasks\, and related measures that are highly sensitive to early cognitive decline. By combining state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms with digital acquisition methods—such as speech recordings and digital pen technologies—the group enables objective\, reliable\, and time-efficient quantification of cognitive performance. \nIn this presentation\,  \n\nProf. Nicolas Langer illustrates how clinically relevant needs in dementia diagnostics are identified and translated into data-driven models that capture subtle deviations from normative cognitive functioning. The overarching goal is to demonstrate how technological innovations can alleviate clinical workload while simultaneously enhancing diagnostic precision\, early detection\, and longitudinal monitoring in dementia care. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEvent details:\n\nDate: 26.02.2026\nTime: 16:00\nDuration: 45 minutes (includes Q&A)\nLocation: Online (link to be provided upon registration)\nCosts: Free of charge\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister today:\nThe Dementia Update – Virtual Series is a monthly online event designed to promote knowledge exchange among experts in neurodegenerative disorders. It brings together researchers\, clinicians\, caregivers and industry professionals to share the latest research\, and innovations. Each 45-minute session features a presentation\, offering a platform for networking\, idea exchange and exploring future collaborations. \nBe part of this exciting virtual session and secure your spot! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegister now
