SUMMARY:Professor Iracema Leroi - Dementia research\, treatments and trials updates
DESCRIPTION:What is happening in dementia trials right now\, and what does it mean for research and care? \nJoin Professor Iracema Leroi\, Professor in Geriatric Psychiatry at Trinity College Dublin and Director of the Global Brain Health Institute\, for an overview of current developments in dementia research\, treatments\, and clinical trials. \nIracema leads the Dementia Trials Ireland network and oversees a wide portfolio of drug and non drug clinical trials. Her work spans international collaborations\, including leadership roles in major EU funded programmes. \nIn this session\, she will explore how disease modifying treatments are progressing\, what challenges remain\, and how research is evolving to improve outcomes for people living with dementia. \nAlongside her research leadership\, Iracema is a strong advocate for equitable access to brain health care and for ensuring the voices of people living with dementia shape research\, policy\, and services. \n\nRegister

SUMMARY:Rethinking ARIA: Antibody Amplified CAA-ri?
DESCRIPTION:Explore new insights into ARIA and CAA in anti amyloid therapies\, examining how antibodies may amplify CAA related inflammation and what this reveals about underlying disease mechanisms – in this webinar organised by the ISTAART Vascular Cognitive Disorders PIA. \nThis session will also highlight emerging biomarker evidence that is reshaping how we interpret the pathophysiology of these conditions and their implications for treatment safety and monitoring. \nBringing together leading expertise\, the discussion will consider how advances in imaging and fluid biomarkers are helping to identify risk\, track progression and better understand patient variability in response to therapy. Expect a focused exploration of how these findings could influence clinical decision making and future therapeutic development. \nSpeakers: Cynthia Lemere\, Fabrizio PiazzaModerators: Beth Eyre\, Roxana Carare \n\nRegister
