SUMMARY:5th Annual Scientific Meeting of the BSRA (2026): The Biology of Ageing
DESCRIPTION:In 2026\, the BSRA is pleased to host its 75th Annual Scientific Meeting on the Biology of Ageing at the University of Oxford between 9th and 11th September. \nVenue: The conference will be held in the heart of Oxford at Keble College\, offering a beautiful environment\, spacious networking\, exhibition and refreshment areas and the O’Reilly lecture theatre for up to 250 delegates. \nRegistrations are handled on a dedicated website\, which also has up-to-date programme details. Please note that if you register for the conference you are automatically invited to this year’s public lecture and Chair’s Reception\, and will be asked to confirm attendance when registering: \nPROGRAMME DETAILS AND REGISTRATION \nAbstract deadline for elevated talks is now closed\, but remains open for poster submissions until 23rd August \nFor any queries including registration\, attendance\, speaking\, exhibiting at or sponsoring the meeting\, please contact the conference lead Dr Ira Milosevic at ASM@bsra.org.uk. \nSponsor/Exhibitor Application \nAccommodation in Oxford \nInstructions for Presenters \nSpeaker List  \nConference Venue \nPublic Lecture \nChair’s Reception \nConference Dinner Location \nSponsor/Exhibitor List \nElectronic Travel Authorisation \nHow does submission of abstracts work? \nAmongst other sessions\, our programme has a total of 7 oral sessions which are structured in the following format: \n\nInvited speaker (~25 mins)\nElevated speaker (~10 mins)\nElevated speaker (~10 mins)\nElevated speaker (~10 mins)\nInvited speaker (~25 mins)\n\nDuring abstract submission\, you will be asked if you would like to be considered for an oral presentation or remain as a poster. A small number of submissions will be selected by the Board of Trustees for a 10 minute elevated oral presentation and you will be informed in advance of the outcome. For the first 4 of the 7 oral sessions (on days 1 and 2)\, the elevated oral presentations will be predominantly from early career researchers\, who will then be eligible for the Korenchevsky prize. The Korenchevsky prize is awarded each year to the best early career researcher elevated oral presentation and is a paid trip to present their work at the American Ageing Association (AGE) annual meeting in the US in May 2026. The winner will be presented with their award at the conference dinner on the evening of day 2. Poster awards will be presented to 1st\, 2nd and 3rd place. \nPoster Guidelines \n\nPortrait (not landscape)\nA0 as a maximum size\n\nElevated Oral Guidelines \n\n7 minutes in length\nup to 3 minutes for questions\nStandard lecture hall podium setup with a Windows computer will be available for PowerPoint slides
