DESCRIPTION:Join stroke researchers\, clinicians and healthcare professionals in Manchester for two days of research updates\, discussion and networking at the UK Stroke Research Workshop 2026. \nTaking place on Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 September 2026\, the workshop will feature national and international speakers presenting the latest evidence and developments across stroke research. \nSessions will explore: \n\nNew frontiers in acute stroke therapy\nNew approaches to stroke prevention\nThe psychological consequences of stroke and their treatment\nNew technologies for modelling and treating stroke\nCerebral small vessel disease\n\nThe programme also includes a practical workshop on working with the media and getting your research noticed\, alongside platform presentations\, poster tours\, prizes and networking opportunities. SUMMARY:Frontiers in Research on Neurodegenerative Disorders
DESCRIPTION:The 5th Harvard European Alumni Training Network (HEAT-Net) meeting will be in Edinburgh focusing on frontiers in neurodegeneration. \n\nThe Frontiers in Research on Neurodegenerative Disorders conference is the 5th HEAT-Net meeting and the first time the meeting will be held in the UK. The meeting will focus on advances in research into Alzheimer’s disease\, Parkinson’s disease\, frontotemporal dementia\, and ALS. \nWe will have talks from leaders in the field and early career researchers. Poster sessions with catered lunches will facilitate discussions between early career and established researchers. The meeting is free to attend.
