SUMMARY:Mendelian Randomisation Training Course
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a three-day\, in-person course on Mendelian randomisation at University College London from 15th-17th September 2026. \nRunning for the third year\, this course introduces some of the theory and most widely used tools for MR\, and how to apply these methods to real research questions. The course will cover one-sample and two-sample approaches\, sensitivity analyses including pleiotropy-robust methods\, multivariable MR for mediation and interaction analyses\, within-family MR\, MR-PheWAS and drug target MR. Explore opportunities to learn\, collaborate and drive impact across health and care. \n\n\n\nPresenters confirmed: \n\nKneu Health – a pioneering continuous intelligence for neurological care\, using smartphone-based monitoring to support earlier detection and personalised care in dementia and Parkinson’s. ​Built on Oxford University research and FDA-cleared\, the Kneu platform is operational across leading health systems and NHS trusts. Kneu Health was on our Alzheimer’s Society Accelerator in 2025/2026.\n\n\nPunto Health – Punto Health is an AI-powered digital platform for dementia management. It acts as a post-diagnosis coordination platform\, focusing on personalised treatment and support\, and improved coordination and monitoring. Its three modules\, PuntoCare\, PuntoTest\, and PuntoClinic\, provide continuous support for patients and carers\, scalable cognitive assessment\, and clinical insights for professionals. Punto Care is the element we are supporting on our Accelerator Programme.\n6D Dementia (Frances Duffy was previously on CEP and now on our Accelerator Programme!) – 6D Dementia equips staff across health and social care and families with practical micro-skills and a shared framework to respond with empathy and consistency so that everyday interactions become therapeutic\, reducing crises\, admissions\, and antipsychotic use\, while supporting stable living arrangements\, promoting independence\, and strengthening the workforce and family network.\nJelly Drops – Jelly Drops are sugar-free (and vegan) sweets which are 95% water with added electrolytes and vitamins. Lewis was inspired to create water sweets after his grandma Pat\, who had dementia\, was struggling to hydrate. Testing Jelly Drops in a hospital setting is something the team are already exploring and would find it really valuable to have other opportunities like this\, particularly in looking at the links between hospital admissions and hydration.\n\nAbout the Session & the Alzheimer’s Society: \n\nPitch Perfect is a virtual showcase series hosted by the NHS InSites Hub team\, designed to highlight innovative healthcare solutions from across the NHS and nationally supported programmes.
