DESCRIPTION:Have you ever wondered what it’s like to operate on the human brain? To celebrate Brain Awareness Week 2026\, neurosurgeon Professor Hani Marcus will be answering questions on everything brain-related\, from cutting-edge research on AI\, to what it’s really like in the operating room. This will be in the form of a live discussion on Reddit under the subreddit\, r/iAMA (ask me anything). \nWhether you’re a student\, researcher\, healthcare professional\, budding neurosurgeon\, or simply curious about the human brain\, everyone is welcome to take part\, ask questions and get involved. This Brain Awareness Week AMA about the brain!”\nDrop your questions in the thread\, join the conversation and upvote the best questions.\n\n\nHani Marcus serves as Professor of Neurosurgery at the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology and as a Consultant Neurosurgeon at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He has an international reputation for his work in pituitary surgery\, research on robotics and artificial intelligence\, and commitment to education and mentorship. \nHe is also the Programme Director for the Neurosurgery MRes at UCL.
