DESCRIPTION:A free postgraduate study fair at City Hall Bristol\, run by FindAPhD. Meet universities face to face\, ask about funding\, and sit in on talks about applying for a Masters or PhD. \nIf you’re weighing up a Masters or a PhD\, a fair like this lets you talk to a lot of universities in one afternoon. Around 25 institutions are exhibiting\, including the Universities of Bristol\, Bath\, Exeter\, Oxford\, Cambridge\, Birmingham and Warwick\, Cardiff University\, UCL\, King’s College London and Imperial College London. Campus France is there too\, if you’re thinking about studying abroad. \nTalks\n\n11:15am to 12:15pm\, Postgrad 101: the basics of postgraduate study\, from the difference between an MRes and an MPhil to application deadlines\, start dates and funding.\n12:30pm to 1:15pm\, Covering the cost of your Masters: what you need to budget for\, and where the funding is.\n1:30pm to 2:30pm\, Writing a research proposal masterclass: what to include and what to leave out\, with tips from students who wrote successful PhD proposals.\n\nTalks are first come\, first served\, so there’s no need to book them separately. There’s also an “Ask Us Anything” zone\, where postgraduate advisers and former students answer questions on funding\, applications and student life. \nWhen you’re ready to start looking\, you can browse funded PhDs in dementia research on our jobs board. \nBooking\nThe fair is free\, but you need to register through FindAPhD\, and your ticket is emailed to you. The exhibition hall is open from 12pm to 3pm\, and the Postgrad 101 talk starts at 11:15am. The venue is City Hall on College Street\, with bus and train links close by. \n\nClick Here
