DESCRIPTION:A free postgraduate study fair at Senate House in central London\, run by FindAPhD. Meet universities from the UK and abroad face to face\, ask about funding\, and sit in on talks about applying for a Masters or PhD. \nIf you’re weighing up a Masters or a PhD\, a fair like this lets you talk to a lot of universities in one afternoon\, and London is the biggest of the autumn fairs. More than 55 institutions are exhibiting\, including UCL\, King’s College London\, Imperial College London\, the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine\, Queen Mary University of London\, City St George’s and Royal Holloway\, alongside the Universities of Oxford\, Cambridge\, Manchester\, Bristol and Birmingham. If you’re thinking further afield\, KAUST\, the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology\, KTH Royal Institute of Technology\, Stockholm University and Campus France are there too. \nTalks\n\n11am to 12pm\, Postgrad 101: the basics of postgraduate study\, from the difference between an MRes and an MPhil to application deadlines\, start dates and funding.\n12:30pm to 1:15pm\, Covering the cost of your Masters: what you need to budget for\, and where the funding is.\n1:30pm to 2:30pm\, Writing a research proposal masterclass: what to include and what to leave out\, with tips from students who wrote successful PhD proposals.\n\nTalks are first come\, first served\, so there’s no need to book them separately. There’s also an “Ask Us Anything” zone\, where postgraduate advisers and former students answer questions on funding\, applications and student life. \nWhen you’re ready to start looking\, you can browse funded PhDs in dementia research on our jobs board. \nBooking\nThe fair is free\, but you need to register through FindAPhD\, and your ticket is emailed to you. The exhibition hall is open from 12pm to 3pm\, and the Postgrad 101 talk starts at 11am. The venue is Senate House on Malet Street\, a five to ten minute walk from Russell Square and Tottenham Court Road Tube stations. \n\nClick Here
