DESCRIPTION:DRNI’s annual Early Career Researcher Day is back! DRNI ECR Day 2026 is taking place in the Human Biology Building\, University of Galway\, on Thursday\, 09 April 2026. \nThis is an in-person event\, and is a free event and open to all! \nDRNI ECR Day is a great opportunity for ECRs from across the island of Ireland to present their research\, meet their peers\, network with other researchers\, and become more familiar with the dementia research landscape in Ireland. It is open to all disciplines\, and will be an in-person event. \nTo register to attend\, or to apply to present your research\, please go to: DRNI ECR Day 2026 Registration Form – Fill out form \nPresentation applications \nDRNI welcomes applications for oral and poster presentations. All application abstracts should be no longer than 150 words\, and use headings such as Introduction\, Methods\, Results\, Conclusion. All applications must be made under one of three themes: \n\nTheme 1 – Dementia risk reduction and prevention\nTheme 2 – The lived experience of dementia and quality of life\nTheme 3 – Therapeutics and diagnostic pathways\n\nAs part of DRNI’s commitment to Person and Public Involvement (PPI) in research\, we will be awarding a prize for PPI engagement at the event. If you would like to be considered for this prize\, there is additional space on the registration form to outline how your research incorporates PPI (world limit 75 words). \nThe deadline for abstract submissions is Friday\, 27th February 2026. \nThere are a limited number of travel bursaries available to help with travel costs – if you are interested\, please tick the relevant box in the registration form. \nIf you have any questions about this in-person event\, please contact Vanessa: mooreva@tcd.ie. \n
