SUMMARY:2026: Biomarker Strategies for FTD Clinical Trials
DESCRIPTION:AFTD is dedicated to improving the lives of families coping with FTD and to advancing research into effective treatments and a cure. The FTD Research Roundtable provides a precompetitive space for biopharmaceutical companies to partner and advance drug development for FTD\, with input from regulators and scientific leaders\, all of whom share a common interest in eliminating barriers to success in FTD clinical trials. If you are working on FTD drug development or a related field and you think that you should participate in the Roundtable\, please get in touch with research@theaftd.org. \nThere has been immense growth in companies focusing on FTD drug development. However\, all companies face similar challenges in FTD drug development. AFTD and scientific leaders are seeking to provide a space in which industry can have precompetitive discussions on FTD clinical trial barriers\, seeking solutions\, proposing best practices and ultimately enable FTD drug development in the past several years. As a result\, the FTD Research Roundtable was developed. \nEach program is selected and designed based upon the priorities of the Steering Committee\, with insight from regulators\, scientific leaders\, and advocates. \n2026: Biomarker Strategies for FTD Clinical Trials\n\nDate: September 22-24\, 2026 \nAgenda: Coming soon \nLeadership Committee: \n\nHoward “Howie” Rosen\, MD\, Academic Co-Chair\nGary Romano\, MD\, PhD\, Industry Co-Chair\nCarmela Tartaglia\, MD\, FRCPC\, Academic Chair-Elect\nRichard Tsai\, MD\, MBA\, Industry Chair-Elect\nMichelle Campbell\, PhD\, US Food & Drug Administration\, Division of Neuroscience\nSteffen Thirstrup\, MD\, PhD\, European Medicines Agency\nGlenn Harris\, PhD\, Rainwater Charitable Foundation\nPenny Dacks\, PhD\, AFTD\nJulia Pierrat\, FTD Family Advocate\n\nSteering Committee Members \n\n\nAcelot\nAFTD\nAlexion\nAviadoBio\nBluefield Project to Cure FTD\nCoya Therapeutics\nCritical Path Institute\nDenali Therapeutics\nEuropean Medicines Agency\nOrchard Therapeutics\nOtsuka\nPassage Bio\nRainwater Charitable Foundation\nUS Food & Drug Administration\nVectorY Therapeutics\n\n\nWebsite – https://www.theaftd.org/for-researchers/ftsg/
