SUMMARY:ISTAART Guide to Grants: Reading the RFA Like a Reviewer
DESCRIPTION:Session three of the ISTAART Guide to Grants webinar series shows you how to read a Request for Applications (RFA) the way a reviewer does. \nFunders always tell you to read the RFA carefully\, and this session explains why. Treat it as the blueprint for your application and you give your project the best chance to shine. \nThe series comes from the Alzheimer’s Association International Research Program\, which funds investigators at every career stage\, and takes you behind the scenes of its grants process from Letter of Intent (LOI) through to peer review. Join one session or all six. It is aimed at anyone who finds the funding process daunting\, particularly early in their career\, and is worth a look whether you are preparing a first application or scanning our funding calls for the next one. \nPresenters\n\nSarah Fontaine\, Senior Director\, Medical and Scientific Relations\, Alzheimer’s Association\nCarolyn Hronec\, Senior Grants Specialist\, Alzheimer’s Association\n\nGuest speakers join selected sessions to add their own perspectives. \nThe full series\n\nWednesday 28 October 2026\, 3pm UK: After You Hit Submit\nWednesday 16 December 2026\, 4pm UK: The LOI\, Line by Line\nTuesday 2 February 2027\, 4pm UK: Reading the RFA Like a Reviewer\nWednesday 3 March 2027\, 4pm UK: What Your Budget Has to Prove\nWednesday 14 April 2027\, 4pm UK: Writing the Critique You’d Want to Get\nWednesday 26 May 2027\, 4pm UK: What Gets Said in the Room\n\nEvery session starts at 10am US Central Time. All webinars are recorded and available on demand afterwards. Questions about the series can go to the Alzheimer’s Association grants team at grants@alz.org. \n\nClick Here
