SUMMARY:Data Sharing in Dementia Research
DESCRIPTION:Alzheimer Europe Research Insights\, a public webinar series focused on new developments and topics in research. Research Insights are interactive webinars bringing together academic and industry researchers\, clinicians\, national Alzheimer organisations\, policymakers and the wider dementia community\, to exchange knowledge on cross-cutting research topics. Through these\, Alzheimer Europe aims to increase the visibility and impact of European research projects\, support collaboration across consortia\, and raise awareness of research developments in the European dementia community. \nEach session will be hosted on Zoom\, moderated by Alzheimer Europe\, and will combine short presentations from selected projects and initiatives with a panel discussion and audience Q&A. Recordings will be made publicly available afterwards\, via Alzheimer Europe’s YouTube channel. \nOur first Research Insights session will take place on 22 April from 14.00 to 16.00 CET and address the what\, why and how of data sharing in dementia research\, illustrating practical approaches\, platforms and use cases\, alongside perspectives from lived experience. Data sharing can make better use of existing datasets\, support collaboration across disciplines and countries\, and speed up progress in dementia research – but it also raises challenges linked to data protection\, technical barriers and differences in how data are managed. \n\nRegister

SUMMARY:Rethinking ARIA: Antibody Amplified CAA-ri?
DESCRIPTION:Explore new insights into ARIA and CAA in anti amyloid therapies\, examining how antibodies may amplify CAA related inflammation and what this reveals about underlying disease mechanisms – in this webinar organised by the ISTAART Vascular Cognitive Disorders PIA. \nThis session will also highlight emerging biomarker evidence that is reshaping how we interpret the pathophysiology of these conditions and their implications for treatment safety and monitoring. \nBringing together leading expertise\, the discussion will consider how advances in imaging and fluid biomarkers are helping to identify risk\, track progression and better understand patient variability in response to therapy. Expect a focused exploration of how these findings could influence clinical decision making and future therapeutic development. \nSpeakers: Cynthia Lemere\, Fabrizio PiazzaModerators: Beth Eyre\, Roxana Carare \n\nRegister
