SUMMARY:37th International Symposium on ALS / MND
DESCRIPTION:The International Symposium is the biggest annual conference dedicated to ALS and MND research. Each year we bring together researchers from around the world to share new understanding of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and motor neurone disease. \nThis year’s event will take place in Amsterdam\, the Netherlands on 9-11 December 2026. \nAbstract submission and registration are open. \n\n\n\n\n\nThe key to defeating MND lies in fostering strong collaboration between leading researchers around the world\, and sharing new understanding of the disease as rapidly as possible. This was the MND Association’s rationale behind the creation of the International Symposium on ALS/MND. \nEach year\, the Symposium attracts over 1\,000 delegates\, representing the energy and dynamism of the global MND research community. It is the largest medical and scientific conference specific to MND/ALS and is the premier event in the MND research calendar for discussion on the latest advances in research and clinical management. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n37th International Symposium on ALS/MND\n\nWe are delighted to bring the 37th International Symposium on ALS/MND to Amsterdam\, the Netherlands. Last year’s event was a huge success where delegates from across the world joined us to share the latest updates in ALS/MND research. \nTo receive the latest information on the Symposium\, including important announcements and upcoming deadlines\, please sign up to receive our Symposium updates. \nRegister to Attend \n\n\n\n\n\nSubmit an abstract\n– Presenting authors may submit an abstract for consideration in one of three categories: oral\, poster or work in progress/care practice (WIP/CP) poster presentations.\n– Submissions are limited to two abstracts per presenting author. \n– Presenting authors are expected to attend the Symposium in-person at the RAI conference center\, Amsterdam\, the Netherlands. \n– Presenting authors must register and accept their presentation for the Symposium before 4 September 2026 to secure attendance. \nRead the full conditions of acceptance document and portal instructions before entering the submission system. We advise you to enter the abstract submission system well in advance of the deadline to ensure any difficulties can be resolved in time. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProcess:\n\nBegin by creating a new account using the presenting author’s email address.\nSelect a theme that best matches your abstract from the list\, this may be changed by the programme committee.\nAdd all authors and affiliations in the correct order checking spelling.\nSubmit an abstract (max 450 words) in the abstract submission portal in advance of the deadline.\n\nBy submitting an abstract\, you consent to give us the license to act on your behalf with the Taylor & Francis group to publish your abstract in the symposium supplement of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis and Frontotemporal Degeneration. \nTo withdraw your abstract please email abstracts@mndassociation. Withdrawals must be made before 4 September to be withdrawn from the journal supplement. \nAbstract Submission
