SUMMARY:Barcelona Blood-Brain Barrier Conference – B4 2026
DESCRIPTION:The blood-brain barrier (BBB) separates the blood circulation from the brain tissue. However\, despite its name\, the BBB is far from a static\, impenetrable barrier. Instead\, this highly dynamic structure responds to and regulates the complex requirements of brain function. \nTo advance our knowledge of how the BBB impacts health and disease\, the 3rd edition of the Barcelona Blood-Brain Barrier Conference will bring together scientists from across the globe to discuss emerging topics in BBB physiology\, pathology and translational research. This interdisciplinary event will incorporate neuroscience\, vascular biology\, protein engineering\, bioengineering\, and nanomedicine to provide a unique platform to foster collaboration and address challenges shaping the future of this field. \nIn the name of the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) and the Institut Químic de Sarrià (IQS)\, we look forward to welcoming you to the vibrant and historic city of Barcelona to take part in these lively discussions\, make lasting connections\, and push the boundaries of the field forward. \nEvent Details

The continuing success of the AD/PD™ meetings is the result of several key ingredients: \n\nA high-quality scientific program covering most recent research\, developments\, and treatments\, with emphasis on overlaps and congruent results among AD\, PD\, and related disorders.\nA multidisciplinary mix of participants representing both clinical investigators and basic scientists; as well as both established investigators and young upcoming talents.\nAn International Scientific Advisory Board covering a broad range of expertise in AD\, PD\, and related disorders.\nA concerted attempt to provide an ambiance at the Conference that encourages interaction\, exchange of ideas\, and networking opportunities among all participants.\nJunior Faculty Awards\, intended to encourage attendance by young scientists at the Conference.\n\nAD/PD™ remains unique in its academic quality combined with an interactive and collegial environment. We believe that there is no other conference in the world that presents such a high level of science in a condensed manner on one hand\, yet on the other hand\, provides an enormously comfortable atmosphere in which to enjoy it all. We invite you to join us at the AD/PD™ 2027 International Conference on AD and PD\, and we hope to welcome you in the Spring of 2027\, in Barcelona or online. \n\n\n\n\n\nAbstract Submission Open \n\n\n\n\nMay\, 2026 \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbstract Submission Deadline \n\n\n\n\nSeptember 1\, 2026 \n\n\n\n\n\n\nNotifications to Abstract Submitters \n\n\n\n\nMid-October\, 2026 \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAD/PD Website
