SUMMARY:Scottish Neuroscience Group 2026 Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Scottish Neuroscience Group Annual Meeting returns to Edinburgh for a full day of neuroscience research\, discussion and networking. \nSNG 2026 will feature presentations from PhD students and early career researchers working across Scottish universities\, including Edinburgh\, St Andrews\, Dundee\, Strathclyde\, Aberdeen\, Edinburgh Napier and Heriot-Watt. \nThe programme covers a wide range of research topics\, including synaptic breakdown in motor neurone disease\, frontotemporal dementia\, sleep and memory\, neuronal excitability\, oxidative stress in ALS-FTSD\, astrocyte ageing\, neurodegeneration and the gut–brain axis. \nThe meeting will conclude with the Keith Sillar Keynote Lecture\, delivered by Professor Matthew Grubb from King’s College London. His presentation will examine polarity\, plasticity and transmitter release in dopaminergic neurons. \nThe event also includes poster presentations\, selected flash talks\, exhibitions\, refreshments\, lunch and a closing drinks reception. \nRegistration fees\n\nUndergraduate students: £20\nPostgraduate students and technicians: £30\nOther attendees: £40\n\nThe published registration deadline was Friday 14 August.
