This notice is to inform you of the deadline for grant proposals to Alzheimer’s Disease Research (ADR), a program of BrightFocus Foundation. Applications for 2019 awards are due on October 2, 2018.
BrightFocus provides research funds for U.S. domestic as well as international researchers pursuing high risk studies that illuminate areas for which there currently is little understanding, helping to bring to light crucial knowledge about Alzheimer’s disease. The maximum award value of the ADR Standard Award is US $300,000, payable over three years.
Interested post doctoral researchers should apply for the ADR Postdoctoral Fellowship Awards, a two year award with a maximum value of US $200,000.
All submitted proposals are subjected to peer-review by a qualified Scientific Review Committee, consisting of active academic and clinical researchers from within the Alzheimer’s disease research field.
Preference is made for exciting, cutting-edge investigator-initiated research projects that are designed to allow scientists the opportunity to develop the preliminary data necessary to be considered competitive for larger government or corporate types of sponsorship. Typically these awards are made to junior investigators, or to more established investigators who are proposing particularly innovative research.
