NIHR Health Technology Assessment – Researcher-led – evidence synthesis

National Institute for Health and Care Research HTA HSDRThe NIHR Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Programme is looking to fund evidence synthesis research through our researcher-led workstream.

We are interested in receiving proposals addressing any health problem in areas not otherwise well covered in our HTA portfolio.

This is a two-stage, researcher-led funding opportunity. To apply for the first stage you should submit an outline application. If invited to the second stage, you will then need to complete a full application.

You should demonstrate knowledge of current research in the field and of evidence synthesis methods and state how these would apply to the question posed. Valid and reliable methods should be proposed for identifying and selecting relevant material, assessing its quality and synthesising the results. Find guidance on choice of appropriate methods contained in NHS CRD Report Systematic Reviews: CRD’s guidance for undertaking reviews in health care (third edition).

Please note that proposals should be within the scope of the HTA Programme.
