Queen Mary University of London is looking for an an experienced Administrator to join the Parkinson`s group within the Centre for Preventive Neurology.


We are looking for an experienced Administrator to join the Parkinson`s group within the Centre for Preventive Neurology. The postholder will provide administrative and procurement support to all aspects of GP2 working group in delivering project milestones. The appointee should have sound skills in time management and be willing to work with investigators and collaborators across the GP2 network.

About You

Applicants must have excellent communication skills, and experience of providing administrative support to a wide range of international stakeholders within a multi-disciplinary team.  You will be a graduate, or have a comparable skillset, with outstanding organizational skills and demonstrable IT skills. You will need to be proactive, and able to find innovative solutions to problems as they arrive. You will be working closely with a wide variety of internal staff and external stakeholders, so good team-working skills are essential. Experience of working with web and digital agencies would be an advantage.

The Centre for Preventive Neurology is at the forefront of international research and brings together an expert team to carry out revolutionary new research into Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. The centre`s focus is on academic discipline, research, the translation of research into health strategies and their practical implementation – all dedicated to the reduction of disease and disability.

The post is based in Charterhouse Square. It is full-time (35 hours per week), fixed-term appointment for 2 years.  The starting salary will be Grade 3 in the range of £31,421 – £34,728 per annum inclusive of London Allowance.
