Responsibilities

Our staff team includes experts in most domains of speech and language therapy, together with leaders from aligned academic subjects, including phonetics, linguistics, psychology and audiology. The postholders are expected to enhance this team by taking a module leadership role, teaching across our programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level, supervising student projects, providing pastoral support for students, and undertaking research aligned to the Centre for Language and Communication Science Research

Person Specification

We are looking for candidates who have academic, teaching and research experience in this field and can lead on, and develop, our current provision in their specialist clinical area. We will consider any clinical specialism, but we are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with expertise in any of the following: Dysphagia, Voice, Motor Speech Disorders, Dementia; Autism Spectrum Conditions, Learning Disability, Child Mental Health, Cerebral Palsy, Cleft Palate; Speech Disorders, Dysfluency and Alternative and Augmentative Communication.

The roles are available from 1st March 2023 or earlier by negotiation. There are two roles available, one is full time and one is part time at 0.5 FTE.
