St George’s seeks Postdoctoral Associate to study cognitive and affective symptoms in Parkinson’s using neurophysiology and computation.
We are looking to appoint a Postdoctoral Associate to support the delivery of a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship research programme investigating the mechanisms underlying cognitive and affective symptoms in Parkinson’s disease. The post holder will contribute to multimodal neurophysiological data acquisition, computational analysis, interpretation, publication, and dissemination. They will work closely with the PI, a multidisciplinary team of researchers, a public advisory group and clinicians. They will be encouraged to develop their own career ambitions, including research supervision, during this appointment.
Key attributes of the successful applicant include:
- Strong coding skills (e.g., MATLAB)
- Advanced statistical experience
- An excellent publication track record
- Experience of conducting research with clinical populations
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
The post will be based predominantly at the university’s Tooting Campus.
