Description
The University of Washington seeks candidates interested in developing data science methodology for Alzheimer’s disease research. NACC has extensive longitudinal clinical and neuropsychological data and autopsy data, which will be linked with imaging, biomarker, digital device, genetics and electronic medical records data.
NACC participants have diverse clinical presentations, and the data are increasingly used for understanding heterogenous neuropathologies. Candidates can have a particular research focus based on background and interest, but will be expected to work both with both methodological development and applications which will involve interdisciplinary collaborations.
Requirements
Candidates are required to have received a Ph.D. degree or equivalent by the start of this appointment. UW seeks candidates who have training in either biostatistics, bioinformatics, machine learning, epidemiologic methods, psychometrics or other related quantitative fields.
Candidates may be awarded the title University of Washington Data Science Fellow, pending approval from the University of Washington e-Science Institute.
