Research Associate: Study Coordination and Clinical Research

FELIX PLATTER seeks a Scientist to coordinate dementia clinical trials and help develop its Dementia Research Centre in Switzerland.

As Switzerland’s leading institution for geriatric healthcare, we unite the fields of acute geriatric medicine, geriatric psychiatry, and rehabilitation under the roof of a state-of-the-art building. Our research contributes to the advancement of diagnostics and treatment for dementias such as Alzheimer’s disease. To this end, we are strategically expanding our clinical research and are seeking a dedicated scientist to independently coordinate clinical trials and actively contribute to the development of our Dementia Research Centre.

• Active participation in the establishment and strategic development of the Dementia Research Centre
• Independent planning and coordination of clinical research projects
• Scientific support in the conception of new research projects and in the preparation of grant applications.
• Coordination of the start-up of new studies and support for study initiations
• Creation and maintenance of study documents and study-related materials
• Coordination of all project partners as well as organization of meetings, training sessions, presentations and data safety monitoring boards.
• Monitoring of project milestones, recruitment targets, timelines and budgets
• Consulting and support for researchers in the planning and execution of national and international clinical trials
• First point of contact for internal and external inquiries regarding research projects
• Establishment and maintenance of national and international research collaborations, including with the UK Dementia Research Institute

• Completed studies in human medicine, pharmacy or natural sciences as well as a completed doctorate (PhD or comparable doctoral degree)
• Several years of professional experience in university or industrial clinical research
• Strong interest in dementia research
• Experience in coordinating clinical trials or in clinical research management
• Knowledge of the regulatory requirements of clinical research; ICH-GCP knowledge is an advantage.

• Excellent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
