Speech and Language Therapy Research Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities

This project, funded by Parkinson’s UK, and in collaboration with Solent NHS Trust (Portsmouth) will finalise the development of a Better Conversations for people with Parkinson’s (BCP) telehealth therapy programme. The postholder will play a major role in the delivery of the project objectives including: stakeholder liaison, therapy programme and resource production, speech and language therapy telehealth assessment and treatment, and data analysis and dissemination.

This post is funded for 2 years and is available from 1st  September 2021 – 31st August 2023.

A job share will be considered for suitable applicants.

Key Requirements

We seek an HCPC registered speech and language therapist with recent experience of assessment and treatment with adults living with Parkinson’s. Experience of SLT telehealth support and delivery with adults with acquired communication disorders is desirable. Experience of conversation/ communication partner training-based approaches to communication disorders is desirable.
