Join the Dementia Australia Scientific Panel

Scientific Panel - Expression of InterestThe Dementia Australia Research Foundation is seeking expressions of interest from researchers in all fields of dementia and dementia-related research to join the Scientific Panel. Mid-career and established researchers are encouraged to apply.

The Scientific Panel is responsible for reviewing grant applications and recommending the top-ranked proposals for funding. It is comprised of leading dementia researchers from across the country in the areas of biomedical and psychosocial sciences as well as people with a living experience of dementia. The Scientific Panel is jointly chaired by Professors Anna King (University of Tasmania) and Joanne Ryan (Monash University). There are currently up to four positions available on the Scientific Panel. Members will serve terms of three years, for a maximum of two terms. If selected to join the Scientific Panel, you will be asked to review applications submitted to the 2025 Dementia Grants Program and attend meetings (scheduled for November 2025) via Zoom. If you are unsuccessful, there may be opportunities for you to assist the Panel by providing expert subject matter advice on an application or filling a casual vacancy when needed.
