SUMMARY:Leading change
DESCRIPTION:Change is often handled like a technical exercise – plans\, timelines\, comms – when in reality\, successful change is powered by people. People don’t resist change itself; they resist what they believe they might lose because of it. \nLeading change is about addressing the emotional shift with the same focus as the operational one. Successful and long-lasting change depends on people adopting and sustaining new ways of thinking and working. \nFor leaders\, and the messengers of change\, it’s essential to share the message authentically and role model these new behaviours day to day\, even if they are not yet fully aligned or adjusted to the change themselves. \nThis is how the mindset and momentum for change cascades effectively across the complex health and social care system. \nBy attending this 60-min webinar\, you will: \n\nconsider how and why change initiatives can fail when we underestimate what true\, long-lasting change really requires\nexplore the importance of crafting and/or sharing a compelling change story to build early and ongoing understanding and alignment\ndiscover how to truly embed change by ensuring leaders translate the story into everyday communications and behaviours\n\nThis webinar is open to anyone working in or supporting health and care research via NIHR\, NHS\, UK universities and other publicly funded organisations. \n\nRegister
