Tell us a little about yourself:
I first started supporting people with neurological conditions during college and university as a communication volunteer at a stroke recovery group. After my MSc, I worked as a wellbeing therapist in a care home, where I observed the challenges and inequalities faced by residents. This encouraged me to begin my research journey to improve the lives of residents in care homes [1]. Outside of research, I love going to music events and dancing, which I have been able to incorporate into my research through music interventions and my involvement with a community dance organisation for people with different conditions including dementia.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself:
I dance Salsa and Bachata
