Tell us a little about yourself:

Currently an ARUK senior research fellow and Fellow of Higher Education Academy. Previously a BBSRC new investigator and a Caledonian-RSE fellow. PhD from McGill University, Canada. Trained in Psychology and Education. My research aims to understand how memory persists or declines in young, aging, and dementia, to characterise brain mechanism for cognitive and emotional functions, and to improve mental functions in health and in diseases. I provide review services for journals and funders and mentoring services for universities and charities.

Bilingual. Two biracial children. Two non-academic volunteering services for the community.

Why did you choose to work in dementia?

To develop methods and therapeutics for amelioration of cognitive and emotional symptoms.
