Through the EQIPD project, an IMI2 initiative aimed at improving the robustness of preclinical data.

Tell us a little about yourself:

I grew up on the south coast of England so have spent my free time during my PhD exploring the Scottish Highlands and sampling the fine whisky on offer.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself:

I used to drive a ferry during the summer months.

Why did you choose to work in dementia?

Multiple family members developed dementia so I thought I’d try and help research it.

What single piece of advice would you give to an early career researcher?

No one knows everything so asking for help or seeking advice is not a bad thing.

What book are you reading right now? Would you recommend it?

The Mountain Shadow by Gregory David Roberts [2], yes but you’d need to read the prequel: Shantaram first.
