The Forefront Webinars Series is brought to you by Alzheimer’s Society and Dementia Researcher. In each webinar there will be two sessions, the first comes from an Alzheimer’s Society funded Researcher presenting on their work, and the second is an essential careers sessions to keep you at the forefront of your field. Details of each monthly session will be added as the previous session is completed – below is a summary, please register those which are of interest:

Webinars take place on the last Friday of each month from 2.30pm – 4.00pm (BST / GMT) – our first takes place on Friday 27th August.

Loukia Minetou, University of Stirling – Narrative Design for Dementia Care: exploring space as a storytelling companion. Loukia will give a brief introduction on design for dementia care homes & discuss the importance of co-designing with and for people living with dementia, family members & care home staff. Supportive design can reduce agitation, anxiety, confusion and depression, as well as stimulate happiness & enhance wellbeing for people living with dementia.

Dr Lovesha Sivanantharajah, Bangor University – Research and Parenthood: Finding Balance. Lovesha shares her thoughts and experiences relating to the challenges of finding a healthy balance between Research and Parenthood (especially during a pandemic).
