Annual Centre for Preventive Neurology Symposium
November 7 @ 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Join us for our second annual symposium which celebrates the Centre for Preventive Neurology (CPN) at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). The CPN is committed to improving the early detection of neurodegenerative diseases including Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and dementia; exploring causal pathways, genetic and environmental factors; testing simple interventions to prevent or delay neurological disease onset; and creating diverse clinical cohorts within East London.
We are honoured to host Professor Siddharthan Chandran from the UK DRI as our keynote speaker, who will present a talk on healthy brain ageing.
We are delighted to showcase the cutting-edge research carried out within the CPN, addressing themes of ‘Determinants of health and disease’, ‘Pathways for early detection’ and ‘Personalised intervention and research design’, including a presentation on ‘Stories from multiple sclerosis peer researchers’. Finally, we will be holding a panel discussion of ‘Implementing research findings in the real world’.
This event is designed for anyone working in the health and research field. Please note that this event will not offer a hybrid option, making it an ideal opportunity for in-person engagement and networking. Food and drinks will be provided at this event, including breakfast pastries, coffee, a lunch buffet and a drinks reception.
