Connecting Psychosis and Dementia: Shared Brain Signatures
October 15 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Centre for Dementia Seminar: “Connecting Psychosis and Dementia: Shared Brain Signatures”: Presented by Lisa Hahn via Teams, Postdoctoral Researcher, Precision Psychiatry Lab, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) Hospital, Munich, Germany.
Lisa Hahn completed her PhD at the Research Centre Jülich under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jürgen Dukart, focusing on neuroimaging and behavioural biomarkers in neuropsychiatric disorders, including postpartum depression and behavioural variant frontotemporal dementia. Since 2022, she has been a postdoctoral researcher in the Precision Psychiatry Lab led by Prof. Nikolaos Koutsouleris, where her work focuses on mechanism-informed machine learning for neuropsychiatric diseases.
Lisa will present work from Professor Nikolaos Koutsouleris examining links between frontotemporal dementia and psychosis. She will then discuss her PhD research on neurotransmitter alterations in behavioural variant frontotemporal dementia, relating structural and functional neuroimaging to normative neurotransmitter density maps using the JuSpace toolbox. Finally, she will outline her current efforts to integrate this methodology into a machine learning framework and her plans to leverage this approach in frontotemporal dementia.
