Meet the New Alzheimer’s Society Awardees
June 25 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join Dementia Researcher at 11am BST on Thursday 25 June for a special livestream with Dr Alice Carstairs from Alzheimer’s Society, introducing their newly funded Fellows and awardees.
Alzheimer’s Society has announced £5.45m of funding to support 17 new research awards across the dementia research spectrum, from molecular mechanisms and biomarkers to diagnosis, care, mobility, inequalities, prevention and support for people living with dementia.
In this session, Alice will explain the aims of the funding call, what these awards are designed to support, and why investing in emerging dementia researchers matters. We will also hear short talks from some of the researchers (Dr Sarah-Naomi James, Dr Sarah Gregory, Dr Joseph Kwon, Dr Emma Elliott, & Dr Marcella Montagnese), giving attendees a chance to learn about their projects, their methods and the questions they hope to answer.
This livestream is suitable for dementia researchers, students, clinicians, people working in research support roles, and anyone interested in the future direction of dementia research funding.
