The Biomarker Factory is a centralised laboratory platform within the UK Dementia Research Institute that supports biomarker research through coordinated sample processing and operation of high-sensitivity biomarker technologies. As a shared research resource, it provides infrastructure and technical expertise to support biomarker studies across a range of research programmes.
This poster presents an overview of the Biomarker Factory, its role within biomarker research workflows, and the technologies operated within the platform, including ultra-sensitive protein detection using the Quanterix HD-X Simoa system, high-plex proteomic profiling on the Alamar Argo NULISA platform, and multiplex protein profiling using Olink proximity extension assays. The poster highlights the operational capabilities of the Biomarker Factory and is intended to facilitate discussion around sample requirements, study scale, and workflow considerations.
