How to Conduct Your Research Project: Project Management and Study Skills

The School of Advanced Study, University of London, opens its autumn research training series with a practical online workshop on planning and managing a large research project.
How do you start planning something the size of a Masters dissertation or a PhD thesis? This session looks at useful strategies for organising your research: working out the scope of your project, plotting realistic timelines, breaking the work down into smaller tasks, and building a writing routine you can keep up.
It is part of the SAS Research Training series, which runs weekly through the autumn and covers everything from working with your supervisor to note-taking, research ethics and getting started on writing. Sessions are aimed at postgraduate researchers in the humanities, but the skills carry across disciplines and are just as useful for early career researchers in dementia research.
Booking
All are welcome. The session is free, but you need to book. It runs online via Zoom, and joining details are emailed to registered attendees 24 hours before it starts. Questions can go to kremena.velinova@sas.ac.uk.
