Beyond Amyloid: eMTBR-Tau and Tau Pathology
October 21 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

An online webinar from Alamar Biosciences, run with Fierce Biotech, on what a new blood-based marker can tell us about tau pathology in Alzheimer’s disease and other neurological conditions.
Blood-based biomarkers are giving researchers new ways to study tau pathology and how it relates to disease progression. This session looks at emerging research on eMTBR-Tau as a blood marker of tau aggregation, including how it relates to tau PET staging and longitudinal clinical progression in Alzheimer’s disease. It will also cover findings across other neurological conditions, and what tau-related blood biomarkers could mean for characterising disease biology in different contexts.
Speakers
- Dr Nicholas Ashton, Senior Director, Fluid Biomarker Program, Banner Health
- Professor Sang Won Seo, Professor of Neurology, Samsung Medical Center
What you’ll learn
- How eMTBR-Tau relates to tau PET staging and longitudinal clinical progression in Alzheimer’s disease
- What emerging research suggests about eMTBR-Tau in other neurological conditions
- How blood-based biomarkers may help characterise tau pathology and disease progression across neurodegenerative disorders
If you want some background first, Nicholas joined our podcast on blood-based biomarkers for dementias, and our blog on what FDA clearance of the pTau217 blood test means covers where blood tests for Alzheimer’s now stand.
Booking
The webinar starts at 4pm UK time (8am PT / 11am ET / 5pm CEST). Registration is through Fierce Biotech.
