Chronic Traumatic Brain Injury Research Symposium
November 20 @ 3:00 pm - 10:00 pm

The first annual Virtual International Chronic Traumatic Brain Injury Research Symposium, hosted by Mount Sinai, brings together the international TBI, dementia and neurodegeneration research communities for a day of talks, data and discussion.
The forum puts early career researchers front and centre, with the aim of building global networks and collaborations across fields that are increasingly linked. If you want to understand why brain injury increases the risk of dementia, this is a good place to hear where the science stands.
The keynote is from Professor David Sharp, UK Dementia Research institute, Imperial College London. The programme also features:
- Pre-clinical and clinical research talks
- A trainee data showcase
- A discussion of the classification of post-traumatic neurodegeneration (PTND), an area now with its own ISTAART Professional Interest Area
- A mentor-mentee roundtable
Booking
The symposium runs online on Friday 20 November 2026, 10am to 5pm EST (3pm to 10pm UK time), and is open to researchers worldwide. You are welcome to join for a single session or the whole day. Register through Zoom using the button below. Questions can go to chronictbi_symposium@googlegroups.com.
