Why aren’t there more women in leadership positions in science? This exclusive MasterClass (up to 60 participants, held online) explores this question while creating a vital space for women scientists to connect, share experiences, and develop essential leadership skills. Through targeted workshops and seminars led by world-class leaders, as well as networking opportunities, participants will gain practical strategies for advancing their careers while addressing the unique challenges women face in scientific fields. Our aim is for this to be a transformative experience, one that contributes to increasing women’s representation in scientific leadership and fosters an inclusive community that continues to grow long after the event ends.

Lori Lennon is the founder and CEO of Thinkubator Media, a science communications firm dedicated to elevating the profiles of women in STEM. She and her team partner with women in academia and industry to sharpen their messaging, build visible personal brands, and secure the support, funding, and recognition they need to move their research forward.
CJ Fitzsimons is a leadership consultant, coach, and trainer with over 25 years of experience working with scientists and research leaders across Europe. This work is informed by his 17 years of research in academia and industry. He is the founder and CEO of Leadership Sculptor, an organisation dedicated to helping researchers lead with clarity, empathy, and purpose. CJ holds a B.A. in Mathematics and a Ph.D. in Numerical Analysis. He combines this analytical precision with a deep understanding of human dynamics. His work focuses on leadership, conflict resolution, happy & productive teams, and communication in research environments.

With a PhD in Biochemistry (2011), she has over 15 years of research experience at leading academic institutions in Portugal, the UK, and Sweden. Since late 2024, she has been building her career and leadership coaching business, helping individuals slow down, reconnect with their essence, and create life-aligned, fulfilling careers. As a workshop facilitator, she invites people to reflect and learn about Self-Connection and Inner Leadership, Career Reflection, Mental and Emotional Wellness, Rest, and Wellbeing.
