Professor Iracema Leroi – Dementia research, treatments and trials updates
April 24 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

What is happening in dementia trials right now, and what does it mean for research and care?
Join Professor Iracema Leroi, Professor in Geriatric Psychiatry at Trinity College Dublin and Director of the Global Brain Health Institute, for an overview of current developments in dementia research, treatments, and clinical trials.
Iracema leads the Dementia Trials Ireland network and oversees a wide portfolio of drug and non drug clinical trials. Her work spans international collaborations, including leadership roles in major EU funded programmes.
In this session, she will explore how disease modifying treatments are progressing, what challenges remain, and how research is evolving to improve outcomes for people living with dementia.
Alongside her research leadership, Iracema is a strong advocate for equitable access to brain health care and for ensuring the voices of people living with dementia shape research, policy, and services.
