Spotlight on LGBTQIA+ and Dementia

This event brings together people with all levels of knowledge and interest to explore the connections between LGBTQIA+ communities, dementia, and brain health. The day will provide a welcoming space to share knowledge, lived experience, research evidence, and service delivery perspectives.
The programme will focus on identifying gaps in research and practice, discussing challenges, and highlighting opportunities to reduce inequalities. Attendees will also have the opportunity to build professional and community connections while identifying practical actions that support impact and change.
The event is open to researchers, funders, people living with dementia, carers, coordinators, managers, service providers, and anyone interested in inclusive dementia research and care. Supported attendance will be available.

- Sharing research, practice gaps, and knowledge
- Learning from lived experience
- Finding useful resources and support
- Identifying actions to improve equity in dementia care and research
- Building networks and collaborations
