Working with Your Supervisor
October 19 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

A free online session from the School of Advanced Study, University of London, on getting the most out of your relationship with your supervisor.
Led by Professor Jane Winters, Chair in Digital Humanities at the School of Advanced Study, the session looks at how to be as effective as possible when working with your supervisor. It covers the practical side, including how to prepare for meetings, formal progression stages, feedback, monitoring and review, and what to do if things go wrong, including how to resolve supervision issues and who to contact if problems arise.
It is part of the SAS Research Training series, which runs weekly through the autumn. Sessions are aimed at postgraduate researchers in the humanities, but the supervisor relationship shapes every doctorate, and the advice applies just as much to PhD students in dementia research.
Booking
All are welcome. The session is free, but you need to book. It runs online via Zoom, and joining details are emailed to registered attendees 24 hours before it starts. Questions can go to kremena.velinova@sas.ac.uk.
