To be considered for a FUN Travel Award for $1,000 (USD) to attend the 2025 Society for Neuroscience Conference in Washington, DC. from November 14th-18th, 2026 and their abstract submission opens on May 27th and closes on June 10th, Faculty Sponsors must complete this form and submit required materials. The FUN Travel Award application opens April 1st, 2026 and closes on June 21, 2026 by 8pm (ET)/5 PM (PT). To complete this form, be prepared to upload a single PDF document that includes the following:
1) SfN abstract (including Title, authors, and affiliations).
2) Student Candidate Statement (2-page maximum) including a brief description of their research and academic experiences, their connection to the research they are presenting at SfN, and their future interests.
3) Faculty Sponsor Questionnaire and Statement (500-word maximum).
4) Student CV/Resume
Note:International applicants are welcome, but to be eligible their mentor must be an active FUN member in good standing. However, we do not cover wire transfer fees nor currency exchange fees. All awardees are responsible for submitting/turning in all travel receipts (i.e., flight, hotel, uber/taxis, etc. to receive their award payment). The earliest the awardees can receive their funds are at SfN and you and your advisor are expected to work at the SfN booth.
